NLC’s Green Cities Conference Offers
Sustainability Solutions for Communities
by Tammy Zborel
Cities are critical leaders in the
promotion, development and imple-
mentation of policies and programs
to advance the social, economic and
environmental sustainability of their
communities. And at this year’s Green
Cities Conference, city leaders, staff
and industry professionals will come
together to share experiences, explore
timely issues affecting their goals and
learn from experts and peers on practi-
cal strategies they can take back to their
communities.
Newspaper Handling
Solutions for Your Community will
be held November 10-12 in Phoenix
as one of four concurrent conferences
offered at NLC’s Congress of Cities and
Exposition. No other national sustain-
ability event provides the variety of pro-
gramming and range of opportunities
to engage with peers and find practical
“take-away” strategies to advance locally
led sustainability initiatives. Cities of
various sizes and at all levels of their
sustainability efforts are sure to find
resources at Green Cities to support and
advance their goals.
